The Incubator aims to address the three global challenges outlined in Impact 2030 by fostering interdisciplinary collaborations between Monash researchers and international partners. 

Monash researchers can apply for one of two funding windows. Alongside direct funding, the program provides each project team with wrap-around support to enhance activities and maximise research impact.

The windows are:

• BOOST: provides support for new or existing interdisciplinary research teams across faculties, institutes and country campuses (at least two), to boost early-stage partnerships and project opportunities with international organisations (up to $75k per project for up to five projects in 2026).
• BOLSTER: provides support for advanced international, interdisciplinary research programs (at least two faculties/institutes/country campuses) to bolster existing international partnerships and networks with a view to securing substantial external research income (up to $150k per project for up to two projects in 2026).
